OUR STORY

Higgins Hot Sauce was born out of a passion for flavor that founder Tim Higgins couldn't find in generic grocery store hot sauces. He wanted to find the perfect balance of flavor and heat leading him to create his own sauce, our flagship Burnt Garlic Hot Sauce & Marinade. Along the way we realized that this could more than just a spicy add-on after the food was cooked, it was a great way to impart flavor while cooking, hence the marinade in the name.

 

Since that humble beginning, we've expanded and because of that wanted to explore more flavors. That's when our Applewood Smoke Cherry Habanero flavor was born. We still source as many of our ingredients as close to home in Northern Vermont as we can and strive to make the best hot sauces and marinades we can. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

 

OUR FLAVORS

A brown sugary, savory sauce with just a bit of heat. It has  a thick and chunky consistency with a hot & bold garlic finish. It sounds crazy, but we char the garlic until it's browned up and burnt so when its added to the sauce it gives it a "fresh off the grill flavor" without the grilling! Marinading or dipping, this sauce is good anyway you wish to use it.
 

Made with Vermont maple syrup, this sauce has just the right balance of heat and sugar. Hotter than the Burnt Garlic, this new flavor has unique sweet and sour notes and an abundance of delicious smoked, dark and red sweet cherries and habanero peppers. Rising up to our top seller spot of our two flavors, its pepper-heat will have you start with just a taste, then soon draining whole bottles!
